We're a family owned business based out of our little urban row home in Baltimore city.  Like almost everyone else who opens up a baby shop, the idea of Urban Baby Runway came to us shortly after the birth of our first (and only) son, Julian, in July 2005.  We never knew how much fun it would be to have a little human we could control and play dress up!  We also didn't know how hard it was to find baby attire that reflected our personal tastes, we wanted people to know Julian was ours and putting him in clothing covered in trucks and baseballs wasn't going to cut it.

We knew these clothes were out there, they were just a little harder to find.  We wanted to bring them all together in one place, kind of like our closet.  It took us a little while to adjust to new life with a baby but finally almost an entire year later we're ready to go!  We've spent many hours searching for hip baby clothing focusing on some of the smaller and more affordable names.  While we think it's important to dress your baby cooler than you'd dress yourself, we don't think you should have to go bankrupt over it.

Supporting other stay at home and work at home parents as well as all small business owners is very important to us.  We will continue to bring on new products and help out the little guys, just like us.
